No periods on HRT

I'm 45 and had really regular periods until I went onto HRT. I take 2 pumps of eostrogel and 2 progesterone tablets a day with a 2 week break from the progesterone. I've been on it since November and haven't had a period since.

I know that the 2 week break in the progesterone is supposed to let me have a period but I just haven't had one. I feel as though its going to start then never comes on.

I've just weighed myself and I've also put on a stone since starting despite no changes to my diet.

Anyone else?

Could it be because I haven't had a period that I'm putting on weight? The doctor said the womb lining will build up if I don't let myself have a period.

The progesterone is stop your endometrial lining building up so some people don't have a bleed even when they stop for 2 weeks. I wish I was one of them!

It's normal. Around 20% of women don't have a withdrawal bleed regularly.

I was coming on here to ask this same question as I have been worrying about the womb lining building up. I have been on hrt since July and have had some light spotting this week for the first time. I mentioned it to my GP a few weeks ago and they didn't seem concerned, just asked if I was remembering to take the progesterone which I am.

Ah thank you for the reassurance. I'm taking it lime clockwork. I couldn't find anything online about this only saying that it would probably be because my periods were stopping because of my age.

I honestly think if I wasn't taking HRT then I would still be having periods. I'll just treat it as a bonus not having periods then!
