Alternative to tegaderm dressing over HRT patch?

Slightly random question! I have been having problems with my HRT patches not sticking properly - I am applying to clean, dry skin, holding in place for several seconds, wearing loose clothing but they are still not staying put. I read that you can apply a tegaderm dressing over the top, which works brilliantly except that my skin doesn't appear to like it! I get a red raised mark around the edges which is itchy and sore. So now I am back to square one. Any alternatives anyone can suggest? Thanks

Micropore tape.

I spoke to my gp and am now on gel and tablets as I had problems keeping the patches on.

There are different brands of patches so it might be worth trying a different one. Estradot is smaller than most others so may stick better

After a few issues with the first ones mine now stick so well they're tough to peel off. In case it helps - I find body buffing in the shower and shaving helps, no oils above my knee level. I put the patches on stood upright with no bend in my leg at an area about two inchs above my knee to the side not right at the back. I found that when moving my knee this area of skin doesn't move too much.
