HET - Itchy lumpy face in progesterone weeks

I’ve been on HRT for 4 years. Still get regular periods :( I’ve had no massive problems with it. I take an estrogen patch just upped to 75 from 50 2 weeks ago, and for 2 weeks each cycle I take micronised progesterone. It was utrogestan but moved and the chemist are giving me a different brand.

For the past three months I’ve started to get a very dry face with itchy lumps (not like acne spots more likely watery blisters) during the post ovulation phase of my cycle. I take antihistamines but it makes no difference. I can only think it’s either the progesterone or something in my cycle. Nothing else has changed.

If I’ve suddenly developed progesterone sensitivity what are my options? They won’t give me a hysterectomy for that, they’re more likely to stop the HRT but I really need the estrogen for all the other symptoms.

i just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and if so how did you combat it? Could it be a brand difference ?

I do have a GP appointment in 4 weeks which will be about the time it happens again but the GP is useless (no alternatives) and so I need to be armed with some information. Thanks.
