Yes, I understand. I felt the same way and try to avoid medications as much as possible. I did try HRT and found I couldn't take it, so the choice wasn't there anyway, relieving me of the decision.

Can I ask why you could not take it was it side effects or??

Start by weighing up the benefits of taking HRT vs. the risks (real and imagined if it’s causing you anxiety). If you don’t have debilitating peri/menopausal symptoms, maybe you don’t need HRT. That said, there’s a lot of research about how HRT is protective of your heart, bone and brain health. But it’s your life and mental health and HRT is not compulsory.

Your worries are unfounded.

Blood clots don't apply to what you've been prescribed. Your GP ought to have told you this.

Blood clots are a tiny risk with some tablets but nowhere near as big a risk as the Pill.

The upside is HRT protects your heart, bones and possibly brain, and reduces the risk of bowel cancer.

Thanks it is just anxiety and the side effects. I once had evocation and had a really bad side effect which caused me to go to hospital so with HRT I sm worried
