Lightheaded/dizzy

I've been on HRT patches since early Dec and had no side effects (didn't really notice any benefits either) about a month ago I had some spotting and then headaches and dizziness/ light headed.. The headaches got quite bad and the Gp referred me for a CAT scan as she didn’t think it could have been from HRT. The scan results came back fine.

It was then suggested trying a lower dose of HRT.. which I'm doing. Anyone had this.. it's driving me a bit mad

what type and dose are you using?

I had a panic attack and light headedness when my doctor changed me over from a pill to a patch. I ripped the patch off and went back to the pill, but I'm still experiencing:

Light headedness
Anxiety in the morning
Instrusive thoughts
Very weird vision, everything seems too real/close up
Total inability to drink alcohol and caution around caffeine too
Loss of confidence
Sensory overwhelm

I've increased my sertraline (been on it for 12 years) but still some very rough edges. I have a telephone appointment today but what I really want is some kind of referral, I just don't know who to.

Aaargh. Hand holding.

I've been to the drs for exactly this. Turns out it is random drops in blood pressure that cause it. Nothing to do with menopause exactly, just part of the aging process generally (as in it can happen to men too).

There appears to be no underlying cause/illness/medical issue although I do have bradycardia (low resting heart rate).

I'm not on HRT.

I'm on Everil Conti 50

Sorry to hear that - my BP seems fine when checked.

Poor you - that sounds awful. I was on the Progesterone only Pill beforehand. I have had a CAT scan as I had really awful headaches and no one thought my symptoms were HRT related.
