Post-menopause and still get ovulation twinges

So, I’ve not had a period since I was 45 and I’m 53 next month but I still get the odd ‘what feels like’ ovulation twinges every month (sometimes on the right and sometimes on the left). Is this even possible???

Possibly bowel pain? Or vaginal atrophy?
In the same way as a woman might still get the sensation of a baby moving but she has been pregnant for years and years, it just what it reminds us of.

No, it’s definitely coming from the ovaries. I used to get the same twinges when ovulating when I was younger. I was thinking maybe cysts or something??
