21 day cycle and progesterone

I can't sleep because I'm at work, which is preferable to lying awake at home staring at the ceiling....

Anyway, I've just started HRT.
I tried it a couple of years ago and didn't like the way it made me feel, although I barely gave it a chance (3 weeks!)

Symptoms have ramped up since then and I saw my lovely GP last week who has Rx'd Lenzetto spray (looks like a sex toy, oh the irony) and progesterone.
All the bumph on progesterone states to take at the 14 day mark, but my cycles are short, 18-21 days. Occasionally a day or 2 longer.
I'm pretty sure she said to take around day 7-10 due to the short cycles, but bastard brain fog wipes away any info I try and retain....

Does this sound about right?

I will of course try to gain clarification but I'm sat here pondering during my shift, I've just started my period and I've a bee in the proverbial.

Morning,
I also have Lenzetto and oral progesterone. I was told to take it on fixed days, never mind what my cycle was doing, because it started to get a bit erratic. The progesterone ‘takes over’, as it were.

Mine had a couple of shorter blips but were mostly getting longer and longer (apart from the brilliant December where I had two periods, thanks very much!).

You don't follow your own cycle for the very reasons you state- it's not 28 days and will become irregular in time.

The leaflet in the box is a bit confusing, but to be honest, GPs should explain all of this and not expect you to work it out yourself.

As Pp says, you start Utrogestan on the same date each month. IF you can tie that in with mid cycle to start with, all well and good, but it's not essential.

All you're doing is using two separate products compared with women who are on patches or tablet form. With those, the progesterone is Day 15 in the pack/ in the patch. There's no messing about trying to time those tablets to a cycle (ie taking them earlier or later.)

So, you just do the same with your spray and progesterone.
As you've started a period, maybe wait 10 days - that will be 24 Feb- and then take it again 24 March, 24 April, etc.
