Estrodot versus Evorel??

I was on Evorel 150 patches and swinging from the chandeliers - I felt bloomin brilliant - but when that documentary came out last autumn my doctor said it needed to be reduced. So she switched me to Estradot as she said it absorbs better and I went down to 125 and added in a ultrogestan at night up me poonani.. I also have a Mirena coil in.

Problem is I feel rubbish now, it's been nearly 12 weeks, I'm SOOOOOO tired from about 4pm, night sweats are back with a vengenace and I'm in a crappy low mood most of the time tbh. Life has thrown a few crap things at me and I have just finished up 12 months in the family court with an abusive ex - but still, that should be a good thing, I don't get why I'm feeling so rubbish except maybe its the Estradot.

SO, with the problem with getting Estradot at the moment, the GP sent a message to use Evorel instead of Estraderm which is what Pharmacy2u has just automatically sent as the replacement. So I guess what Im asking is, has anyone noticed a difference like this between Estradot and Evorel? I'm wondering if I just switch back to Evorel particularly as Estradot seems to have these supply issues fairly regularly anyway. Any ideas? Anyone experienced this between the two? Thanks.

I was on Evorel first (100mcg patches) then switched to Estrodot. I didn't notice any difference in effect but much preferred the smaller Estrodot size. I think your issue might be more that you have reduced your oestrogen dose and increased your progesterone dose rather than changing brands of patches. Mirena plus Utrogestan might make you feel flat and tired due to the additive effect of both?

@sunshinechaser thanks a lot for your reply, I didn’t know that and have just looked it up and think it could well be the issue as I’ve got very tender breasts too which seemed strange but is another side effect of too much progesterone. 🙏

Estradot don't work for me at all, and I'm not a progesterone fan either. I get all the symptoms you describe! Perhaps 125 evorel would help. I'm on 150, prescribed by a meno specialist. Have been using estramon patches lately due to evorel shortage and I find them even better than evorel.
