Pharmacy told me to put Evorel patch on arm as was falling off but I read it's to go below waist!

I was on estradot and due to shortages the pharmacy started giving me the bigger oestrogen patches. They could peel off after an hour or a day and were crumpled looking the whole time. Used to put them on the lower back or buttocks. Woman who worked in the pharmacy said to stick it on my arm and I have been and it's been great, lasts the full half a week. I usually just get the patches with no info leaflet but today I read on them to put it below the waist. I've been sticking it on my arm for the last 4 months! Will I still have been getting the oestrogen or will it have been working properly? Thank-you if anyone has an answer

I think it's fine to go anywhere as long as it's not near your breasts or vagina

I put mine on my stomach, underneath my knickers. Never comes off.
I suspect you will have absorbed it on your arm, but if possible follow the advice to put it below your waist. I tried leg too and it didn't last a day.

After 4 months you worked know if the patches haven't been working. You would have hot flushes, mood swings, night time wees, brain fog; whatever your symptoms were, they'd return.

I hated the large patches. Same problem as you. The only place they stayed put was on my thighs, and even then not in hot weather. One of the reasons I switched to Oestrogel.

Must be below the waist. Don't risk the patch getting too close to your breasts, ie if it's on your arm, your ar could very likely get close to your chest!

Thank-you for the replies. My "periods" returned every 4 weeks which did start around the same time (but just now realising) and I've had 2 hysteroscopies to investigate in the last few months, all clear. They doubled my progesterone to see would that stop the bleeds. No hot flushes, yes to night time wees returning (didnt know that was menopause related), extreme fatigue last few weeks and do think the brain fog has been getting worse. I'll start putting it below the waist and see how I get on next couple months. The estradot was so much easier than these patches. Thank-you all
