Evorel dose too high?

I've been on Evorel 50 for the last 2 years to combat intolerable insomnia/depression/hot flushes and it's been a huge success. Lately my libido and focus have taken a dip and I've had my testosterone tested and will get that back this week, but the GP suggested increasing my Evorel to 75 and the insomnia and hot flushes have come back. Nothing like as badly as before, just once or twice a week, but it's not fun.

That's connected, right? Too MUCH oestrogen can bring all that back? I'm taking off this patch and going back to 50 tomorrow and hopefully my sleep will settle down again.

Just wondering if others have had this experience.

The symptoms are afaik caused by fluctuations in the hormone levels. So it might settle if you stay on the 75 but if it doesn't seem like what you need, stick with the 50.
One reason your gp might have prescribed more is the fact that if your levels are too low, your body turns any testosterone into oestrogen(I think). So optimising oestrogen before taking testosterone is important.

I'd probably give it a box to see if it settles OP.

Sorry - should have said I’ve been on the higher dose since mid December and the insomnia etc restarted about 3 weeks later.
