Forgot to take utrogestan - when to take?

I am on oestrogel daily and utrogestan tablet for 14 days out of 28, so two weeks on it two weeks off.

I've just realised I was supposed to start my 14 days a week ago and just completely forgot it!

Does anyone know what I should do now?
Start today and still take for 14 days - alter my cycle.
Start today and take double so I have the full amount but finish at the expected time?
Start today but only take for 7 days instead of 14?
Skip altogether and start the next round of 14 when it's due?

When you say ‘one tablet’, do you mean one 100mg capsule? Because you should be taking either one 100mg capsule every day or two for 12-14 days per month. Or do you take 200mg capsules?

It’s fine to start the cycle a week late and take it for the normal 14 days. You could then start your next cycle a few days late, then the one after that get back to the usual schedule. I move mine by a few days all the time, just for my own convenience. Don’t double your normal dose though.

Sorry, yes I said "tablet" but I take 2 x 100 daily for 14 days.
Thanks for the advice. I started yesterday a week late and will take the 14 days and then try to adjust the dates gradually in the next month.
I actually even have a reminder on my phone and still somehow forgot to take it for a whole week!

Just start now for 14 days.

TBH it's easier to do 12 or 14 days from the first of each month. The 2 weeks on and off is not a clinical dose. It was written into GP guidance by Dr Louise Newson on the basis it was 'easier' for women to remember.

The actual dose is 12 days per 28 days (as on the Patient Leaflet in the box) BUT the vast majority of drs now say it's fine to do a 30-day cycle, taking it on the same DATE each month.

So if you started the pack yesterday, that was the 2nd, the next date to start would be the 2nd March.

Some of us (with medical advice) are going longer than 2 weeks without using progesterone.
