HRT patches and return of the periods

I'm 52 and started Evra Conti about 2 months ago. My aching joints and sore feet were becoming debilitating so I took my GP's advice and gave them a go.

Periods stopped 2 yrs ago but I'm having a bleed of some sort nearly every 10 days. I've had one 'proper' period, having to use my trusty moon cup, but the other bleeds have been dark in colour and erratic. I'm fed up of this as I. Getting caught out all the time.

What's everyone's experiences of Evra?

I don’t think you should be bleeding and you need to speak to your GP

Hi, I'm on the same patches. Had a bleed, told the doctor and was sent for an ultrasound which shown thicking of the womb.. it's 6.2mm anything above 4 I think needs to be checked out.
Bleeding is apparently "common" but it's needs checked out. I'm being sent to gynaecologist.

Please go back to your doctors and get it checked.

bless you! My periods are so erratic now! I’m having blood clots, blood has came through my clothes before this even when I had a sanitary pad on! So ive had to leave work and had been been absent for a few days after as I couldn’t leave the house I felt so debilitated! I had no support whatsoever from work! Didn’t even get a RTW! Feel like I’m getting treat horrendously at work!! My work colleagues are about 97% men!!

When you start on combined continuous HRT you can expect bleeding in the first 6 months as the 2 hormones balance out the womb lining.
