Thicking off the womb results

Hi everyone

I recently had a bleed, I'm 56 this year and on HRT. the dr told me to come in and she would check over and she said everything looked and seem fine but would send me for a ultrasound to see what causes the bleed, my smears have came back normal. My ultrasound showed thickening of the womb. So she is referring me on to gynaecology.
Has this happened to anyone else?

@Pamspeople aw thank you so much. It's such a worry, I have still to see gynae I'm hoping they take me off the patches and put me on something else

I got a letter from the hospital, with the all clear yesterday. Such a relief! I still have to go and have the cyst rescanned in 2 months,to see if it's shrinking, but that's no problem.
How did your gynae appointment go? ch145

@Feckedupbundle aw brilliant news!!! So happy for you. Yes, they took a biopsy but the dr said he is changing my patches. Said everything looks fine.. he said it was the patches that done the harm

Glad it has come back as clear OP.

I am off HRT totally now, as my patch was most likely the cause as well.

I am in a different country so things might be a bit different here, but I have just started a natural option as I started to get flushes which I didn't while on the patch.

Are you on a lower dose of Estrogen now?

TodayI had an ultrasound and hysteroscopy today with just ibuprofen as pain relief.
It was uncomfortable, rather like period pain and down to the saline they pump into your uterus.
My uterine lining was 4mm thick from u/s, so borderline but I decided to go ahead with the hysteroscopy anyway. It was all clear fortunately.
I've had 2 post menopausal bleeds, like a period, recently.
The consultant's view was due to HRT. I've got to see if bleed anymore in the next 8 weeks and then go to the GP for a HRT review.
I went into menopause at 57, so later than average. I was expecting there to be polyps because DM had a hysterectomy at 51 due to multiple polyps and v heavy periods.
