Mood dips on last few days of utrogestan

Does anyone else find this?

It's quite a catastrophic dip. I end up in despair. Then three days later I'm fine

What can I do?

I was an emotional wreck on utrogestan, can you ask dr to change progesterone

TwinklyPeachScroller · 31/01/2025 03:50

Yes. It was awful. Changed to Provera which is better. Still a dip but more like PMT.

How many days are you doing?

The guidance from the BMS is that a minimum dose (licensed) is 10 days per 28. The Patient leaflet says 12 days.

GP guidance (written by Dr Newson) says 14 days/2 weeks - but this is not a clinical guide- it's purely to make it easier to remember and this is stated in the guidance.

You could drop to 12 days or with GP approval, 10 days.

Or you can use the capsules vaginally which will reduce the effects on mood.
