just started oestrogen gel and dizzy all the time

A week and a half ago I got a new Mirena (had one for years with no problems). Because I'm 53 the new mirena came with oestrogen gel. I was happy to give it a go, but I am now constantly dizzy. Its worse after exertion but present all the time.

I've spent some time with dr google but am getting conflicting information between
a) its a normal initial side effect and it will wear off in a few months
b) seek medical help now

(I was prescribed two pumps, did one pump for a week then upped to two).

Have you had any other unexplained symptoms before this? The reason I ask is women with histamine intolerance tend to find it's exacerbated by oestrogen. There are many different possible symptoms, and dizziness is one.

Nope - nothing like that.
It's actually faded a bit since I posted, maybe I was making it worse by worrying about it. Still there but a little less intense. Fingers crossed it will keep heading that way.

Could have been the new mirena rather than the oestrogen

This happens to me when I start HRT (I’ve tried a few times) I can now only tolerate a pea sized amount of gel a day - any more and I’m dizzy and lightheaded, jittery and generally feel awful.

@Tallblacktrees Ive had about 7 mirenas and never had dizziness. A month of evil cramps but not this :(
