Sorry for new thread - but does mirena help with awful PMT from utrogestan?

Sorry, I have another thread about my cycle but then had another qu specifically about the mirena. I've been doing pessaries, Utrogestan, for 3 months, but I feel so low, and just not myself, that few days before my bleed. It's awful. That weird panic and also intrusive suicide thoughts (not that I ever would, but you get the picture on how bad it is). Does anyone know if the mirena can help ease the pmt as it's a low dose all month?

You can't use both (but I don't think that's what you mean.)
Utrogestan doesn't suit everyone.
See your GP and discuss other options for the progesterone side. They all can have side effects even the Mirena but it's what suits you.

The Mirena totally resolved that for me, although it was more total exhaustion/ low mood that I experienced for a few days each month. My hair has thinned a lot since I had it fitted, but it's worth it not to have the awful PMT. It's also stopped the horrendous heavy bleeding I was having. I've not had any bleeding at all for nearly 4 months now.

I came on here to ask the same thing.
I stopped hrt due to low mood and feeling like I was behind a wall.
My mood improved I felt lighter then dizzy vertigo type symptoms appeared so I'm going back on.
GP has prescribed mirena coil for progesterone which I had for about ten yrs before.
Has anyone felt better with this swop.

This was basically my experience too! Felt much better than on Utro, and the heavy bleeds going is brilliant.

I tried for 6 weeks of the oestragel with the body identical progesterone tablets.

It made me too emotional.
Had the Mirena fitted 4 weeks ago and far more settled. Same amount of oestragel as before.
For context I am peri (44)
Hope this helps !!!
