Normal dose of oestrogel?

I’m just starting my HRT and threw away the packaging for the oestrogel pump and can’t remember the dose I’m meant to take. Is it two pumps?

Mine says to apply on outside arms or on inside of thigh.

Odd though, I'd have thought it was either the inside of thigh/arms or the outside of thigh/arms. I didn't really get the thinking behind it?

There is a lot of 'thinking' behind this.

I mentioned in a previous post here that they say inner thighs because that's where most absorption will take place (either because of skin thickness or more fat than muscle.) There's been scientific research into this - the manufacturers have done that.

You have to avoid inner upper arms in case there is accidental transfer to the breasts before the gel is dry or at any time afterwards.
