Bleeding after 4 months on HRT.

Could anyone let me know what natural alternatives to HRT that you have tried successfully? I started bleeding again 4 months after I started Hrt (gel) and I’m having to reconsider. The bleeding has lasted 4 days and seems to be stopping now hopefully. I have a fibroid and I’m not sure if it’s that? Otherwise has anyone had bleeding on HRT? Mood very low. Thank you very much for any feedback.

It might have just been a break through period. What progesterone are you on?
Are you having a medication review soon?

what sort are you on?

As well as estrogen gel you will be using a type of progesterone- which is it and how often are you using it?

Combined continuous hrt can cause bleeding in the first 6 months- that's normal.

If you're on sequential you should have a bleed every month but sometimes this doesn't happen?

I am on the natural progesterone. I’m having a review in a month. The bleeding has stopped now but thanks so much for replying.

Are you using it every day?
If so, all the info says that it's normal to take 6 months to be bleed-free. That's normal. Your GP should have explained all of this. You should only use this regime is you have not had a natural period for at least 1 year.

If you're using it for 12 days a month (for women not post menopause) you will bleed every 4 weeks but some women miss a month or two.
