Testogel users - how on earth do you split the dose?

I had an appointment at the menopause clinic yesterday and saw the most amazing female doctor. Came away with tweaked HRT prescriptions and Testogel! Am nervous about it but really hoping it will resurrect the old libido and feel less meh and like I don't give a sht about things I do care about. Been on HRT for over a year and that feeling has not gone despite.

The doc suggested I put the contents of one sachet into an old put and syringe up 0.3 ml to make the sachet last for 8 days. Sure, thought that would be easy but this morning when I went to put some one (first dose yesterday) I noticed the gel is now more like liquid!

What do you other users do to divvy up your doses?

Will it have lost its effect by going liquidy?

@ooooohnoooooo i do think it needs reevaluating. Apparently there’s no evidence to suggest serum testosterone levels correlate to libido/wellbeing etc.

Personally I am on Testogel, have found real benefit from it and think it needs further research. Just trying to explain how the current situation is.

In GP land we are bound by local prescribing restrictions and guidance. Until that changes GPs hands are tied.

I used it for a while and used to put mine in a 5 or 10ml syringe (can’t remember which). I used to pull the plunger out, squirt the sachet into the barrel and then replace the plunger. I made a little sticker on the side with the precise divisions on it. The orange lids from the 1ml diabetic needles fitted onto the plastic tip of the big syringe so the gel didn’t dry up.
I had lots of syringes of various sizes left over from ivf so experimented until I found a workable solution.
