Not sure if I am in perimenopause, and does anyone know about link with implant removal?

Hi I have been experiencing hot flushes at night, anxiety and depression for about a year I am 44, I had my implant removed to see where I was at with my periods as I rarely got them on it and after 4 months have not had anything except one almost smudge of a bleed. I also had surgery after ectopic pregnancy about 10 years ago and have read this can potentially cause slight early menopause. Having gone to GP before implant removal bloods revealed no indication of early menopause although I do understand it’s not really an indication. Felt a bit fobbed of by GP and not sure how long I should monitor the period situation before I go back to GP. Thanks

I mean you’re 44 so it’s more than likely. It can go on for 10 years or more. Could you ask the GP to refer you to a menopause specialist? My GP sent me to the local menopause clinic and they said it was pointless doing blood tests and I’m 42, I’m now on a starter HRT dose and feel much better. My main symptom was anxiety and dryness.
