Patches to Gel and back again

Hello, I need to switch to oestrogel from patches, due to no patches of any brand being available where I live. I am currently on a 50 patch and will hopefully go back to this again if patches ever become available. I am worried that this sort of disruption will cause bleeding or other symptoms. I am having investigations at the minute for an unrelated serious health issue and could do without this. Has anyone switched from patches to gel or vice versa with no issues? Thanks.

I switched from gel to patches a few months ago. I'm on a lower dose than you (37.5 patches). I had a very small amount of bleeding the month I switched - spotting really and not requiring anything more than a panty liner for a couple of days. That was it.

Thanks so much, pharmacy just got in 100 patches which I'll have to cut, for the moment, but I will switch to gel if I have to. These supply issues are so annoying.
