HRT/coil/pill

Just wondering if anyone found the pill awful but was fine with mirena and HRT?
I'm waiting for surgery and depending how it goes I'll either have a mirena fitted for adenomyosis or may be looking at a hysterectomy as my endometriosis is so severe

I hated the pill, I was either anxious or crying on it and tried loads of different ones so currently have a copper coil. They've assured me the mirena side effects are much lower...

I never got on with the mini pill but was OK ish with the combined pill. I was nervous about HRT, especially progesterone. But it's been fine for me.

I did have the mirena coil fitted but had it taken out soon after to ttc so can't comment. Have heard good things about it though and it's probably worth a try.

Good luck. I also have endometriosis and had adeno too. Had a hysterectomy in my early 30s. Good luck with your operation and hope you get good results.

Yes. I tried combined and mini pill when I was younger and they threw me into a suicidal depression. I have Endometriosis and had a Mirena coil fitted as part of my first ablation and apart from some belly ache for a couple of weeks I was absolutely fine for decades.

2.5 years ago I started HRT with the coil as the progesterone part and it's been great up until the last couple of weeks. Personally I'd recommend it but yes, it was fine for me even when all oral pills were horrific.
