I’m in menopause due to treatment for cancer. It’s caused me to get hot flashes which I thought were decreasing but seems not…I’ve just finished chemo so starting to look at life after cancer and going back out into real world.

I’m nervous about going back to work. Our office is notoriously to hot and at the moment as soon as im a bit warm I get flooded with sweat. It’s not a problem at home because I can just shower and change but worried about embarrassing myself in the office. Does anyone have any tips?

I’ve seen people say eating a better diet helps- is there any truth to that? I eat fairly healthy anyway. - will small improvements make a difference or is it only if you ate crap to start with?

and does anyone have any tips for nighttime? I’m sleeping ok at the moment because I’m still very fatigued from chemo but I’m sooo sweaty. I hate it. Is there any pjs etc that might help?

im 36 for reference so going part time at work etc isn’t really an option.

I got a cooling blanket from Amazon last summer and it is great. I admit I was sceptical, but it really does cool me down. I'll try and link.

Regarding diet I think an anti inflammatory type diet such as Mediterranean food is what is meant to help ease hot flushes.

I’ve just started sleeping with 3 layers. A sheet, a thin duvet and a throw on top. In the night it is easy to peel one or two layers off or put them back on as needed.this is helping me.
