What are my options?

I haven't had a period for 2 years and my blood tests show I'm post menopausal, but because I'm only 39 my GP says I'm perimenopausal not post and has put me on sequential HRT. I'm on the 2nd half of my cycle now and I have developed all my old PMT symptoms, I'm anxious, paranoid, cramping and very low mood. I've still got a week of this half of my patches to go.

What choices do I have? I have gone HRT free but I was running on 3 hours sleep and my body no longer worked properly - my joints seized and I developed atrophy. Could I get a hysterectomy and then go onto oestrogen only? It feels drastic but necessary.

What estrogen dose are you on? You likely started on 50mg (?) but it might be that you need more to get your symptoms under control. I started on 50mg patches, after a few months felt my symptoms coming back so went to 75s and then 100s shortly after. I’d try increasing your HRT before surgical options.
