How do I get Testosterone?

Okay ladies I need your help. I’m in a medical menopause of 3 years, due to severe endometriosis.
im only in my 20’s and even with some slight add back HRT etc my sex drive has tanked and honestly it’s killing my relationship.

ive now asked 4 seperate doctors and 2 consultants for testosterone, they have all fobbed me off. I’ve tried to purchase via Superdrug online but they won’t dispense as I’m not over 40 years old and the system couldn’t understand that I’m in a menopause at 27. can anyone help? How the bloody heck do I get testosterone?

and if I can, will it restore my sex drive? I feel like my life is over!

Do you have any kids op? It sounds odd that your GP is refusing you testosterone if it will aid with symptoms of your menopause diagnosis. Maybe call 111 and ask for advice on this? All the best to you 💐

I get mine privately but maybe you could go private for the initial appointment, then have the prescription transferred to NHS? Worth a try.

I would contact the Newson clinic if it’s affordable.

I get mine privately, I saw a menopause nurse consultant. Some GP’s will take over the prescription, other won’t and you’ll have to keep paying privately, it’s a postcode lottery I believe.

I’m the same as you, went into surgical menopause overnight at 37 due to hysterectomy from endometriosis.
It increases my sex drive ever so slightly, rather than feeling completely flat like it is without it, but nowhere near like it was before.

Have you had the androgen panel blood tests?
