Hello all, I've just had a really rubbish experience with a GP. Not my usual GP. I've started a new hrt, for the two and a bit weeks I've been on it I've had panic attacks, anxiety, diarrhea. You name it! The GP told me that this particular hrt doesn't have side effects and she hasn't had any patients with my side effects!she dismissed my symptoms as a viral infection.I came home, checked on the leaflet that accompanies the hrt to confirm she was talking out of her posterior and bingo.... diarrhea, depression etc. why are GPS so rubbish at advising on hrt/menopause?
Sorry, I just needed to rant!

What are you on?

Most of them do not know enough about it. I'd enquire if your surgery has a GP that specialises in Menopause.

What are you taking?

I think it would be incredibly rare to have so many of the possible side effects all at once though?

Which HRT are you on?. I didn't have any except for temporary bloating with the progesterone.

Hi, I had anxiety and severe insomnia with the wrong dosage and type of HRT so definitely can happen, my GP said it was surprising but did believe me and I’m happily sorted with a different prescription now.
