Get implant removed or not?

I am due to get my implant replaced (3 years since last one). I am 47 and going through some change - not sure if peri menopause or menopause (tbh not sure of the difference). I have had the rare period on the implant in the 9 years I have used it but not so much with this one - I now rarely get a day or 2 of very slight bleeding but do get pains. How can I tell if my periods are stopping if I am still on the implant and is it worth just coming off it all together?

Bump - I'm reading that you get much heavier random periods that flood you during perimenopause and wondered if anyone has just had the implant took out altogether or should I get is replaced for another 3 years, if anyone has any experience with this?

I’ve never had an implant but my periods just tapered off and got lighter. I know I a sample size if one, but???
