HRT tracker

My Dr has started me on (yet again) another type of HRT, this time oestrogel (4 pumps) and Progesterone capsules. The problem is she's told me I have to take the capsules on day 15-26 of my cycle. The problem is that I am NEVER going to remember when to take them. I did explain that to her and she told me to 'give it a go'! Is there an app I can use where I can keep track? i.e. I put in the 1st day of my cycle, then it counts the days and tell me when to stop taking them? I just know it's going to go horribly wrong!

Why not use your phone/alarm and the diary on it, or even an old fashioned diary/calendar? Just count 15 days from Day 1.

OR the other way to do it which is fine, is to use the same day each month for your 12 days. Like 1st of every month. HRT resets your cycle anyway. Once your periods are irregular, you can't wait for 'Day 15' anyway.

@JinglingSpringbells that makes so much sense thank you. I've got such terrible brain fog, I think I'm just overcomplicating things! I've just finished taking the last of my old HRT which meant I always bled 2 days after finishing the packet (which is today) So I can take it on the 17th of every month then?

@JinglingSpringbells sorry I got that wrong (brain fog!!) It's 15 days from today!

Whatever day you start it this month, keep to the same date in January.

If you have just finished a bleed, or are about to have one, it would make more sense to count 15 days from now. It doesn't have to be exact. If you want to start on 1 Jan, that's okay too.

@JinglingSpringbells Thank you, that makes perfect sense!

I put mine in my google calendar and also wrote on the box of pills the dates I was meant to take them,

I got myself into a tangle with this when I first started as could never work out when day 1 was, when my periods were infrequent.

the easiest way is to start on 1st of the month and take for 12 or 14 days, then wait till 1st of the month again. It’s roughly two weeks on/two weeks off.

@Redcrayons that actually sounds like the best option for me, I'll definitely get into a pickle otherwise!

I mark on the calendar when I need to take them. I also sort my tablets once a week into a pill sorter so I only have to think about it once a week.
