The itch... what actually helps??

Before I started HRT I suffered with itching, mostly around my breasts/armpits, it went away for a while and it's now back with a vengeance, not sure if it is really worse overnight or if it's just that I am not distracted overnight. All over my torso, stomach, chest. I know this will pass eventually (to be replaced by some other menopausal symptom) but what will help in the short term? Antihistamines?

I also over the years post-menopause have started having itching all over my body and just take an antihistamine. It tends to calm my skin down for nearly a week or so before it comes back with a vengeance.
