Perimenopause?!

I'm 43. Periods have always been like clockwork until the last 2. Last month was 5 days late. And this month I'm 9 days late with no sign still. Been feeling rubbish all week, as I did last month between the time I normally come on and the time I did come on. Tired, pains, nausea etc etc.
Is this the start of peri? Is it normal to start this suddenly from nothing?!

Also 43, I've gone from around 29 days a couple of years ago to around 24 days, or 33 days.

I also get night sweats (like a flipping lighthouse boring out of my chest at 3am), joint pain in my feet a few weeks of the month, raging horn for a week then the ick for 3. Brain fog (but that's got better and may have been WRS). And my close vision has very suddenly got really bad!

I had an FSH test but apparently it was normal.

That wasn't what you asked, but I'm here for solidarity! I've no idea if what I've got going on is perimenopause either.

It’s how it started for me at about 37.

Any chance of pregnancy?

I'm also 43 and had a 52 day cycle a few months back. Felt like my period was stuck, I had all the usual pains, exhaustion etc just no bleed. GP run bloods and all came back normal but aren't really reliable under 45 apparently. Periods have been like clockwork since but are now light and shorter. I do have other possible peri symptoms, too many to list to be fair, but I'm hoping to have another baby so burying my head in the sand slightly. I've spoken with a fertility consultant who is arranging a hysteroscopy to check for adhesions as this can prevent a normal and regular flow.

I think a visit to the GP is your first step. Dont suffer or worry in silence.

I don’t understand this question. If your periods are going to get irregular due to peri, it happens at some point. How can that be sudden? And what’s nothing? What should come before it? 🤔

Not competing at all but i went 3 months with no period now im in my 4th or 5th month of 2 full periods a month. Its so bloody draining. Literally🤣

Im 42. I doubt a GP would care. I have ither mild symptoms of menopause/peri but not significant.

I think youre just on the brink possibly OP. But also it might be nothing
