Where has my sex drive gone?

As per the title, my sex drive has all but disappeared. I'm in surgical menopause and am on oestrogen.

I honestly never thought this would happen to me as I've always had a very active sex life with my husband.

Has anyone found the answer? I don't want to feel lime this any more 😕

Ask for testosterone, available on the nhs. Present your gp with the NICE guidelines which state consider testosterone for libido issues in menopausal women on hrt.

Hi, do you mind me asking whether you started on the testosterone? I am a similar case to you but am scared to start testosterone and have oestrogen only at the moment.

Does your low libido come with painful sex? Visit your doctor for targeted hormone therapy for low sex drive. Also, talk to your partner to manage sexual expectations and try longer foreplay so you can be more stimulated.

Most definitely do to your G.P for some testosterone. My libido fell through the floor, my menopause started at the age of 51. If after 6 months of estrogen hasn’t improved your libido then testosterone is the way to go.

There isn’t one specifically for woman so I have Tostran prescribed off license, within two weeks of taking it I came to life again. It was as if a switch had been turned on, my libido was better than ever. I’ve since reduced the dosage as my poor husband couldn’t keep up with my demands, he made me sleep in the spare bed 🤣, my Dr nearly fell off her chair laughing

Testosterone did nothing for me apart from giving me hairy thighs,

I have blood tests coming up next week. They'll put me on testosterone once they know my levels and an update this thread :)
