Currently on Evorel 75 and 200 utrogestan. I'm perimenopausal and using it sequentially. For various reasons I'm looking to reduce my dose to Evorel 50. How much progesterone do I need with this? I have Conti patches containing 170 micrograms of norethisthorone. Are these ok to use for 2 weeks followed by 2 weeks of the evorel 50? Presumably they would not be enough if I need to go back to the 75s? Any thoughts?

I'm assuming you aren't using the combined patch and the utrogestan?

Evorel 50 needs 1 100mg utrogestan capsule daily if used continuously or 2 capsules utrogestan for the 12 days if used sequentially.

Or just get the Sequi box of Evorel which contains the right number of combined and estrogen (50mcg) only patches. You wouldn't need utrogestan with these. These are the same as your suggestion - the combined patch has 170mcg Norethisterone.

There isn't a combined patch with a 75mcg estrogen dose. Which is frustrating if you don't want to use oral progesterone.

I may have misunderstood, but if you want to drop to a 50mcg patch, is there a reason why you can't carry on with 200mgs Utrogestan?
You need to use 200mgs Utrogestan with a 50mcg estrogen-only patch.

Why do you need to change the type of progesterone if you just want to reduce the estrogen?

Are you doing this through your GP who's doing the prescribing?
