Have a sensation of a red hot poker up my lady bits so today went to drs. She thinks I’ve got atrophic vaginitis . She’s giving me cream to use internally .
anyone else got it? It’s blooming agony. 5 years since my last period so why now?

It's one of the longer-term symptoms of menopause. It happens because your estrogen levels have fallen more.

It's not a short-term thing. You need to use the cream forever, or it will come back. Older ladies in their 80s and 90s use it.
