Perimenopausal. I think my period is due.

Can't sleep. My mind is racing with lost opportunities and regrets.

Is this normal?

I'm even thinking about things I did and said at school!

Yup

Not sure if it's normal, or if it was just me

I'm thinking about if I'd said 'x' not 'y' during a conversation everything would be different. If only I'd done this/that at school, I may have changed my path.

Only today I thought I'd love to move to a new place and area to start over where no-one knows me! I can be who I am now without having history and preconceived ideas about me circulating. (I am struggling with a narcissistic sibling though).

I don't like this at all.

I don't have the sibling issue, but other family members
Otherwise I'd think it was me posting Grin

My mind is currently repeating the last few years and last weeks particularly, but result is the same. Running away and starting over would be amazing. Where shall we go?

Or we could be sensible and change what we need to here so it's better.

I think I need to start with the GP and say out loud that I'm not enjoying menopausing and need some help with it. Probably cheaper than looking at houses in remote warm places.

Yes, for me it was peri and undiagnosed ADHD.

Whatee · 11/12/2024 07:40

IME, yes. The mental symptoms of perimenopause are just horrible to deal with.

Berga · 11/12/2024 07:43

Magnesium! You really need magnesium. This helps with it.

@Reverence same! Undiagnosed AuDHD. It was like another level of brain chaos with peri.

Yes me!
Racing thoughts, regrets, replaying conversations, paranoia, anxiety; you name it, I have it! Just awful.

Thanks @PineappleCoconut made me smile and feel sane!

Exactly the same. I wonder if this vanishes when we get through the peri part? Hope so.
