Just started estradiol in the form.of estradiol patches. First patch fine. Second patch fell off. Replaced it and then skin under patch was q red with little red spots so removed it, and next morning put on another. No redness but have now taken it off after 24 hours as it's constantly itchy underneath the patch. If this has happened to you, did you find a different brand helped? Or did you start with the gel?

I also found the glue on those patches irritated my skin. You could try estradot (they don’t make me itch and they are smaller as an added bonus) or gel.

Thank you. It's estraderm I have been using, so will see if estradot an option, quite like the idea of patches changed twice weekly as opposed to a daily gel.

I'm very sensitive to plasters and ten to get itchy bumps very quickly ni was reluctant to use patches for this reason but recently had to switch from gels. GP specifically prescribed Estradot for me and it's been great. Been 5 weeks now and no itching or irritation at all.

I hated them all and found them itchy.
