Help I think I've been given the wrong medication!

I've just switched from kliofem, which seems to have caused some bleeds. I've been investigated and given the all clear for cancer because of these bleeds. I've now been given an oestrogel pump 750micrograms, provera 2.5mg and evorel 50 patches. Everything has directions on it but the provera says 'as directed' but the doctor didn't give me any directions! And have I been given a double dose of oestrogen? Can anyone shed any light on this?

You use either Oestrogel or a patch- not both.

Did you ask for Provera?
I'm wondering why your GP has selected that rather than Utrogestan.
Provera is MPA (an older synthetic type of progesterone and has more side effects/risks.)

Did they explain why they were prescribing this?

Hi thanks for this, no I actually asked for Utrogestan! I guess I'll go back to the GP.
