Hi all, I'm 45 and definitely peri menopausal but I was just wondering if an increase in CM/vaginal discharge is a symptom?

I've noticed it being quite significant on and off over the last few months but haven't been to the GP as there isn't any odour or itching.

Wanted some opinions before I bother to get checked out.

Thanks!

I got this in early peri - massively! I assume it's to do with oestrogen spiking. Now there's barely athg, even though I'm still in peri and still getting periods regularly (with extras in between).

Thanks for answering, it definitely could be that then as there isn't anything obviously wrong. I'm fairly early peri as well I think and still getting regular periods.

I noticed more of it but also that it was more watery/thinner than pre-peri.

Yes absolutely. I’m 41 and gp has said I’m in peri. She started me on Estrogen cream but I’m a week in and the discharge is more uncomfortable then ever. I’ve had a culture taken and it’s come back negative for thrush etc. I don’t know what to do now to be honest!

Ive had it more since I started taking HRT so that would make sense with what @Analyst11 said about oestrogen spiking
