ahhh, I am only 39 and not really had much change to my monthly cycle. But I seem to be having a lot of symptoms lately that is making me think I am maybe peri. Brain fog - Just getting silly now some of the things I am doing, or not doing! but I am getting awful leg cramps at night time ! and my legs feel horrible during the day. I have been looked at for DVT and circulation all fine, I have never suffered cramps in all my life ! It is affecting my sleep, I keep getting really emotional over things, loosing my cool over everything and health anxiety through the roof ! I have out off going to the doc about this as I fear they will just say I am too young !!

The leg cramps - could that be restless legs? If so, that could be an iron deficiency thing... I always get restless legs when I need more iron.

Brain fog - I hear you. It's actually quite mad isn't it? I don't think 39 is too young to feel some of this stuff...

It's not beyond the realms of possibility, but because of your age, your doctor will want to run a whole load of blood tests to rule out anything else which might be causing your symptoms.

Thanks for responding. I've had a ton of bloods this week at the hospital and they have all come back normal.

Early menopause is partially genetic - is your mum around to ask about her menopause?

There is also a general poor health/ high weight aspect
