Pain and now feeling sick /BV?

Hi all,
I am going to make an appointment with the GP but I am really worried and was wondering whether anyone else had similar.
Premise is that I am 52 and my periods are all over the place now, so definitely entering menopause.

Have had loads of bouts of thrush and struggling with keeping it under control. Then a really weird pulling/dragging feeling coming from the cervix area for a few days and now sudden pain and burning. Feels different from thrush...

Googled it and it came up maybe with bacterial vaginosis but I am starting to feel sick with it now too as in feeling unwell and under the weather... I am hoping the GP will work out what's wrong or what to try but anyone had similar?

Could it be an STI?

Feels like one but I am married and haven't had sex with anyone else and hopefully neither has DH...

Have you had any experience of vaginal itching or yeast infection before?

Update if anyone is reading. GP thinks it's probably thrush that has moved beyond areas that are treatable by a pessary or cream, so has given me Fluconazole. Which is oral. I do think I am starting to feel better, so fingers crossed. Horrible feeling!!
