Help! What can I use now, I tend to use natural brands but no longer working. Plus under boob! Have really noticed big change in sweat/smells.

Thank you!

It is a really normal phase, and bloody embarrassing. It will pass eventually.

In the meanwhile, showers everyday, maybe even twice. Shave arm pits daily. Up the deodorant to a 24 hour super star.

Keep clothes meticulously clean. Careful what colours you wear, some show damp patches badly and the last thing you need is to attract the attention of a complainer.

Wash armpits and any other sweaty areas daily with hot water and soap. Not shower gel - proper soap. The sweaty smell is from bacteria on your skin feeding on the sweat. If you wash every day with soap you won't have enough bacteria to make it smell too bad.

Use breathable fabrics like lightweight cotton shirts for more airflow. Also, apply some lemon zest on your armpit 2 or 3 times a week. I found it effective as I also sweat a lot (also smell bad) that it cause some yellow stains on my white shirts.

I saw a dermatologist recommend using one of the baby sanitising sprays with Hypochlorus Acid to squirt on your armpits (she was saying after the gym, but I don't see why it wouldn't work any time).

I'm giving it a try, because the tiniest of walks - not even feeling like I've got slightly sweaty, but I get whiffy at the moment.

Thank you, have ordered some. I already use bar soap in the shower, nothing really working so will give this a go! And the lemon trick.

Try anti bacterial soap - I like Palmolive which you can buy at Poundland, it makes a huge difference for me and this one smells pretty good

I find lots of deodorants are ineffective (ingredients have changed) - dove Stick is effective for me (but not sure)

I’ve heard hand sanitizer is decent for reducing smells too which makes sense (I have loads of it so should give it a go!)

I don't have any answers, but thank you for starting this thread. I thought I was either going mad or something really weird was going on. I feel so much better now I know it's not just me!

I had this too. Only at certain times in my cycle. I use Mitchum on those days.

Yep and helpfully I have also become allergic to lots of brands. My current routine is to apply the solid salt stick deodorant immediately after a bath followed up by Nivea spray anti perspirant once dry. Also proper soap as others have said, I find using scrub gloves also helps.

Yep, 48 Hour Mitchum is the only brand that's effective for me too.

I tried a gentler 48 hour one by Dove and that was also good but much more expensive.

The solid ones are also good for the skin underneath your breasts and also your crotch, between your vulva and legs, wouldn't use the roll on version there, far too sticky.

If your thighs touch, solid version is also good to stop chub rub if you use it as a barrier on the skin.

I think the 24 Hour Version is cheaper so not sure if it's the Mitchum brand itself or that I only buy the 48 Hour version. Should add that I shower everyday with Dove Bodywash so have never tested if it does keep smells at bay for 2 days but can confirm that it certainly is effective for 1 day.
