Hi there I'm new to this I'm currently going though perimenopause been bak an to to doctors with really heavy bleeding that lasts for 4 weeks stops few days then starts again also hot sweats all time mood changes I'm really struggling how to cope with it I have my partner an kids have no friends is there any groups to make friends and also please tell me which way I need to cope with everything that's happening to me thank u xxx

OP, I really feel for you. Go & spk to your GP. My doctor did a blood test and she said I wasn’t peri-menopausal. Even though I am 49! My symptoms mimic menopause but unfortunately are due to my health condition.

Hi, I’ve attached a booklet with some information about menopause. It includes a couple of symptom checkers where you can tick off all you’re experiencing to discuss with your doctor and the best way forward in helping your symptoms.

If you’re on Facebook there is a helpful support group called Menopause Support Network.

For help with heavy bleeding, which I also experienced, you could consder a Mirena coil. It works both as contraception, and as part of systemic HRT
