Patch and capsule confusion

Hello,

I've played about with various types of HRT hence the confusion!
ATM I am taking Everol 25 mg patch and am due to start the progesterone gel capsule ( vaginally). My question is do I continue to use the oestrogen patch when I am taking the progesterone capsule? Hope that makes sense 🙃

Yes. You take both.

I'm on the combined patch now but have some breakthrough bleeding so will probably go back to the separate patch and tablet. If it's the same one as I was on before, the capsule can be swallowed or inserted vaginally. It can cause headaches though if swallowed so should be taken at night.

@OchonAgusOchonOh thank you so much for your reply, thats really helpful. I do not get on with progesterone very well so hoping this will be less brutal. Yes I always take it before bed.
Peri is not for the feint hearted is it??!

If you don't get on with progesterone, definitely go with the vaginall option as fewer side effects. I found it a bit messy though, although less so if taken at night as less gravity in action iykwim.

I'm well past peri. Definitely not fun.
