I'm currently using Everol Conti patches and have a new prescription of Oestrogen gel and Progesterone pill. The practice nurse who prescribed it advised to start taking the pill for a fortnight on the 1st of the month so I'd always remember when to start using it. But.....I have been using the patches with progesterone for a week already by the 1st Nov so is then adding 2 weeks of the pill not going to do weird things to my already crazy hormones??
Also, if I always started the pill on the 1st of the month, that would mean slightly more than 2 weeks of gel only, is that normal or do people do exactly 2 weeks of each?
I'm tempted to do the second week of the progesterone patches and then start with 2 weeks of gel only. I have enough calendars in my life that I'm sure i can set some reminders of when to take the pill but wondered what other people do?

If you were on evorel conti you were getting progesterone every day so the pill should be taken every day as well? What progesterone is it?

Sorry, it's Everol Sequi - 2 weeks of one patch and one patch of another. I just looked at the patches I've got left and they're the conti ones as i'm in the 2 weeks with progesterone.

I've done the same switch. I didnt start on a particular date, but on a day and then set never ending reminders in my phone for when I am supposed to take and stop taking the progesterone...the gel I put on every day (according to instructions) with no breaks...but this does seem at odds with what others have said on the hrt threads....but i feel amazing and calm for the first time in years and have worked out with what I was supplied, that the number of pumps is correct for every day use for 3 months same as the rest of the hrt meds so 🤷

@FriendOrNo thanks, I think I'll stick to my plan to see out the month of patches and then start on the gel. Like you, I use my phone calendar and a google calendar app so I'm sure I can manage to keep track of it! The gel is to be used every day so it's just the pills I need to track. I'm hoping it works ok, the patches have been good but they're forever peeling off on me and my skin looks like a patchwork quilt!
