Can anyone relate to this, I really need help. Im 5 years with no periods , 55 years old, fit and healthy, been on HRT from 2020 which helped the hot flushes and night sweats. From April 2023 every 4 weeks im getting really bad headaches, totally fuzzy brain, fatigue, really down moods anxiety This lasts for 7 to 10 days. I changed to the patches Evoril conti to see did they help but havnt. Its really taking over my life now, as I have to plan everything around these 7 to 10 days. Its as if im getting a period without the blood. I have an appointment next week with the menopause specialist as I found my doctor is of no use at all. can anyone help ?

Can you try the gel. I’m also post menopause 56 years, been on HRT since 2022. I wouldn’t have survived without HRT but it still took a while to get the dose right. Things sermed so have settled since I hit upon the right amount of estrogel and progesterone capsule at night. With the gel I can play around with the dosage (within reason of course) depending on how I feel. If I’m feeling slow, tired, low I know my progesterone is too high and I use a smidge more estrogen to balance my mood and energy.

Thankyou so muc for your reply , yes I did try the gel for 3 months this year, but found my mood levels were quite low, so went back onto the patch. Today my head is that fuzzy I did put some gel on my both my thighs (along with my patch) and have felt terrible today, dizzy, fatiqued, I think I may have put too much on . What are the tablets that you take at night time ?

I take one ultrogestan capsule at night. It helps slow me down and helps me chill. Takes the fiery mood that I was feeling pre HRT. I take the estrogen in the morning.
It’s a good idea that you have an appointment with your menopause specialist. I’ve experienced headaches and memory loss, that spaced out feeling and severe depression, until I hit upon the right dose. Your dosage is probably wrong. Hang in there, menopause is harder for some than others and can be really tough but you’ll get there!
