I think I'm losing my hair

1st time poster. Hoping for some advice.

I've been noticing lately the amount of hair that I've been losing when washing it. I've always shed quite a bit of hair, it's curly and I only wash it every 3 days so always thought the clumps of loose hair when washing looked a lot because it was 3 days worth. Just recently the clumps have become much bigger. I've started noticing how thin my hair feels (it used to be annoying thick that it was hard to style).
I've just taken some pics of my hair to have a better look and my scalp is quite noticeable in places.
I'm 44. Periods still as regular as clockwork. I had a full healthcheck in April with lots of bloods taken and I don't recall any readings being abnormal.
I've recently started taking a hair skin nails vitamins but only a week or so in. Diet is fairly healthy, fish, seeds etc.
Does anyone have any advice. I could cry :-(

Have you made any diet changes. I lost weight quickly through fasting and nurse identified it as cause

I experienced a huge increase in shedding associated with menopause, & some really thin areas. A dermatologist advised a daily biotin supplement & it definitely made a difference for me.

Super complex vitamin B and L'Occitane strength & volume shampoo.
Worked wonders for me. I'm nearly 2 years on & my hair is thick & healthy again.

My reply is a bit late here, but this was happening to me and I went back on my (combined) birth control pill for a different reason (heavy periods) and my hair all came back. I should probably look into HRT but at the time I didn't realise it was perimenopause (I was 40) and now I've got other symptoms (massive weight gain, no libido) but am afraid to try anything because I don't want to lose my hair again by going off the pill.
