Erratic periods

Hi - I’m nearly 52. My periods all my life have been regular 28 days for about 5 days each times. Recently they’ve become erratic and this month I had a period about 3 weeks ago and now I’m on another one that’s been going for 10days. I had my hormones checked and confirmed me levels had dropped. Anyone else having more than one period in a month?

My periods got closer together and heavier, and I ended up anaemic, so I got a Mirena coil.

Yes I'm experiencing this. I'm 53. I had a period, then a 3 month gap earlier in the year, then was regular until June (always for about 4 days at a time), then they stopped again. Great, I thought, that's it! Nope - just had another where it just bled slowly for 15 days 😳. It was almost like the bleed you have having a baby- slow and seemingly endless
Anyway, I'm hoping that's the last one ever now
