Lowering Estradot - 75 mcg to 50 mcg - can sweats be temporary?

I've been on Estradot 75 for about 3 years now. All good.

The problem is that I am terrible at absorbing Utrogestan: as soon as I moved from the peri-meno two capsules 14/28 days (which was fine) to 1 capsule every day, I've had never-ending breakthrough bleeding. I had the same when I was on Implanon: uncontrolled bleeding for weeks on end until it was removed, then all was well again.

I'm now trying to lower my Estradot dose to 50 mcg in case the Utrogestan works more effectively against a lower oestrogen dose - but that has sent me into mild hot flushes, which haven't happened since I started HRT,

Obviously I can't bleed regularly every month now that I'm 53, and so I can't be on the 14/28 Utrogestan regimen indefinitely, so what has worked for you if you've experience the same thing? Ah, the joys of wavering hormone levels!

Just to add: scans show I have a healthy uterus and ovaries, so it's not that. Hormones are within ranges with blood tests.
