I am on HRT but struggling with a number of symptoms that fit with low testosterone. I asked my GP for advice and they said they'd do a blood test but don't prescribe testosterone so can't help with advice or a prescription. I called for the results and was told it's all ' normal' and when pushed gave me the following figures but no further advice or explanation. Hopefully they are normal but my surgery haven't been great with menopause advice or support so want to double check. Figures provided:

Serum 93.0 nmol/L
FAI 1.0%

Hi OP, my FAI score was 0.04 and was labelled 'undetectable' and GP put me on T. Took a year to go up to 0.08!

Oh ok so does that mean 1 is normal? Looks like it's an HRT change rather than testosterone if that's the case. Really annoying the doctor won't even discuss it & I'm having to seek online help!

Hi, I've attached my most recent one.

It shows the ranges. Does your NHS app not show that?

I think you probably are within the normal range.

Better to increase oestrogen anyway first. I was already on 100 for 6 months before I started T.

I came on this section to ask about my testosterone results so thought I would add to this thread. Because it's so hard to see the GP I had a blood test done privately to help me decide what to do next. My GP said previously they would prescribe T if they felt it was needed and I know you can get a private prescription.

I am on sandrina 1.5mg and Utrogestan. Probably about to have my out of date coil changed and stop the progesterone. Annoyingly I still need contraception as far as I can tell and there's nothing else I can use (except condoms, but I won't rely on them). (Not that we have much sex but that's part of the next issue...)

Anyway, I have all the symptoms of low T. But my results have come back as c10x the normal range and they have advised I see my GP urgently. I will do, but.....wtf? I have zero symptoms of high T! It's so high they are telling me to stop my T gel - I don't have T gel, never have had!

I really think they tested the wrong blood. Has this happened to anyone else?
