Rash from HRT patch, or shingles?

I've had Evorel patches for nearly 3 years now and never had an issue. Today my patch felt pinchy, it's due to be changed tomorrow anyway so thought I'd do it a day early. It was really sore taking it off.

Turns out I have a rash underneath?!

I can't imagine it's not to do with the patch given it's in exactly the same place...BUT it's really weird as have never happened before. I'm wondering if it's shingles?!

Whatever it is - it's sore!!

This is my buttock btw Blush

Any thoughts?

Patch.
Ive been using them 5 years but occasionally, if I’ve put the patch over where the one previously has been on that side (even though I alternate sides) I have developed a similar sore rash. I just make sure that they never go on the same spot when I’m changing and shift it slightly up/to the side instead. Mine are also Evorel patches.

I’ve had the same this week from everol patch. Had it before but usually if sand has got under or something.

Definitely the patch. I can't tolerate any brand - I have the exact same type rash as you picture here. An intolerance can develop anytime but try using a completely different area and hopefully thar will be OK for you.

Thank you. I've stuck it on my thigh now in the hope it allows it to calm down. It's so sore and raw! I have started up running again so wonder if the friction of my running leggings has irritated it.
