Testosterone sachets - how do you know the right amount to use?

I've been prescribed testosterone as part of my HRT prescription and my GP told me that the dosage in the sachet is for men and to use a pea sized amount. I've got the sachets and I'm really not sure how much to use. I mean, I squeezed out a pea sized amount but it seems a bit arbitrary. Is there a way of measuring it properly?

The only problem with doing the syringe, is that once the sachet is open, any of the gel that's exposed to the air dries out super quickly. I found I was losing most of my sachet this way.

I just leave the syringe in like this after use. It seals the hole and stops it drying out. I then put it in this box in the fridge

I got mine on NHS. You have to be suffering low libido and have already been on HRT for a while.
I was told to use a pea sized amount daily=1 sachet over 8 days. I cut a small corner off the sachet and use each day, truly is a pea sized amount. I decided to keep all used sachets so I could count them up and make sure I was averaging no more than one every 8 days. I don’t bother doing this any more and I don’t weigh it or dad about with syringes. After a while you get used to measuring out approx an 1/8.

Thanks for all of your posts. It doesn't seem that there is a simple answer. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes for the testosterone to kick in? With Osteogel I felt better quite quickly. I've not felt any difference with the testosterone yet.

It took me months. Be patient. About three or four. Stick with it. That's why I don't worry now if I don't have the exact dose. It takes so long to build up in the system that I know that missing a day won't have a huge effect.
